The word is that next year Country artist/singer/songwriter Liz Kilgo from Nashville TN is set to come to the UK to take to the road for 2 weeks with Spur, then Spur will return to Nashville with Liz and join her on her tour in the US... The guys are looking forward not only returning to Nashville but touring with Liz and staying with Debbie Dean again (Spurs Nashville Manager), Mark says "Liz is a amazing song writer and has a awesome voice too, you should look her up on facebook". Spur is covering a Liz Kilgo song she wrote at the moment called "Whiskey Angel". Over the last few months Mark has been working close to Liz and they have become real good friends.

Spur in Nashville. Where they also met up with their manager and promoter. Debbie Dean of Debbie Dean Promotions. Spur, Duo of the Year 2009. They spent time on sightseeing tours, they also played some local places. Since this is the first trip over to the Nashville area, they say it will NOT be their last, and they are already planning a trip back.
While in Nashville they took some tours of the area, taking in the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum, and seeing the history of country music, from Hank Williams Sr to the newest singers, being played. Spur also took a tour of The Ryman , where the Grand Ole Opry played for many years. Among one of the best memories Spur will have is seeing Garth Brooks live, doing his concert for the flood victims of May of this year. Besides the tourist things, they played at the “Music City Bar”, in the Opryland area, and also the world famous” Nashville Palace”, twice, where they went over very well. They have been invited back anytime when they are back in Nashville. Along with Debbie Dean they also where on two radio shows, being broadcast all over the world on NBRN FM Nashville, Mike Bradford had them in the studio one day as his special guests, along with Debbie Dean and Keith Bradford had Debbie Dean as his special guest and invited Spur to do a show with Debbie Dean. |
